Final Draft is the software of choice for professional script writers

It is a powerful text editor that contains a multitude of templates to adapt the format of the script to the final product. You won't write a movie script in the same format you write a sitcom for television.

You can create your own templates or work with some of the templates proposed by the system that include examples of famous TV series formats.

The program works intuitively, after putting a scene header by pressing Enter it will go into "action" or "description" mode;
when you press enter more tabulator you will be able to write the name of the character, pressing enter will touch the line of dialogues but if you press enter and tabulator you will be able to write a dimension.

To change the format you can use the mouse to select: action, scene header, character, dialogue, dimensioning, plane, transition...
